Known as the "Garden Spot of Colorado", Berthoud lies about halfway between Fort Collins and Denver. The little Thompson river flows through the south end of town and the outskirts of town proper are dotted with farms big and small. There is an endless amount of outdoor opportunity for the nature lover. Carter Lake provides boating, fishing, swimming, camping, and hiking and is just a quick 20 minute drive from town. Estes Park is just up the canyon if you're looking for big mountain adventures, and Longs Peak sets the background of the view from just about anywhere in Berthoud.

If staying local is your thing, Berthoud definitely provides. Our small town has a great assortment of restaurants, breweries, shopping, and more! Weekly summer farmers market on Saturday mornings are a great place to meet your neighbors and grab some of the locally grown produce and meats. Throughout the year Berthoud hosts numerous festivals; Snowfest, Hops and Harley, Oktoberfest, Berthoud Days and more!  

Our hometown school sports teams consistently draw a crowd, and there is no better place to be then under those Friday night lights during football season. Our volleyball, wrestling, baseball, golf and softball teams are all exceptional and get tons of deserving support from the town. The homecoming parade is always a great time with the team floats getting better every year.
